| Re: Eagles not a playoff team? Pinkston's finally healthy, so that's a plus. I wonder if he really can be a viable #1 though. Personally, I'd bet on Westbrook leading the team in receiving. He's such a threat out of the backfield. Think they'd ever try to convert him to wideout?

| Re: Eagles not a playoff team? They had another dude who was running pretty good last year... was it Mahe, or someone else? Also, isn't Buckhalter coming back from injuries (again) this season? Seems to me if Pinkston and company struggle, this would be a good thing to at least try. And who knows, maybe a deal for Chris Brown of the Titans could be in their future. You think? |

| Re: Eagles not a playoff team? I grew up across the river from Phila and the Eagles were our team. We loved them and our Dick Vermeil...he was like family to us fans. I left PA back in 1995 and lost touch with the birds, but never really adopted another team....just faded out from football. Ok, now for what I feel as a former fan. I think that no matter what they do, get into the Playoffs, even make it to the SuperBowl..they will dash the hearts of their fans every time. I would bet money against them. Sorry folks, just my opionion. ![]() |

| Re: Eagles not a playoff team? Welcome to the other side of the tracks, TN_Gal. I know a lot of so-called experts seem to think that the Eagles have already peaked, and it'll all be downhill from here. They are getting older, and they've lost a few key pieces. It'll be interesting to see how things work out for Philly in 2006. |

Just popped in to spread the luv You know I am living in Chattanooga now.. Reggie White was from here. Always came back and "gave back" to the community. Brief Biography: Reggie White was a two-time NFL defensive player of the year who terrorized pro quarterbacks throughout a career that started in 1984 with the Memphis Showboats of the USFL and continued with the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, and Carolina Panthers in the NFL. White was selected to a record 13-consecutive Pro Bowls, and held the league's all-time sack record (19 White was one of the best, if not the best, defensive ends to ever play the game. His 21 sacks in 1987 fell just one short of the single-season record, held by Mark Gastineau at the time. But the amazing thing is, he did it in 12 games during a strike-shortened season. Hard feelings toward management caused his departure from Philadelphia, and his arrival in Green Bay as a free agent in 1993 was a catalyst for a return to glory for a once-proud franchise that had fallen on hard times. Born: Reginald Howard White - December 19, 1961 Died: December 26, 2004 |

| Re: Eagles enjoying a quiet camp And yet another prognosticator doubting Philly's playoff potential in 2006: "No longer considered a dominant force in the NFC East, the Eagles are eager to prove they're still a playoff-caliber team in a tough division. It's obvious the team's success largely depends on McNabb's health and his sometimes fragile psyche." So is this season more or less on McNabb's shoulders? |

| Re: Eagles not a playoff team? Of course they are facing an uphill battle in the most competitive division (not necessarily the best), but I think ruling them out is misinformed. This team is almost identical to the 2003-2004 team that made the NFC championship game (and minus TO, the same team as the 2004-2005 Eagles). Certainly everyone in the division has improved, but that doesn't makle Philly as a unit any worse. Personally, I think lacking a huge playmaker is going to be the difference with them not making the playoffs. This is why drafting Santonio Holmes was so imperative, they need someone to stretch out the field for McNabb and Westbrook. Reggie Brown is an ideal 2nd option, but as a got to receiver... I am just not seeing it. Hopefully I am wrong. If they can manage to go 4-2 in division play, they have a great chance of making the playoffs. I just wish the front office could realize what they are doing to there most important, loyal employee: Donovan McNabb. |
