Westbrook would like the same amount of touches in 2008

RB Brian Westbrook of the Eagles had 372 touches last season. When asked if he would like a slightly lighter load, he said wouldnt mind if it would stay the same. He thinks he can continue at the same high level.

I dont think he will have much choice. Eagles didnt add any big receiver to the roster this year. Thing is, can he still do it? Think so?

I think he can, though sooner or later, teams are gonna realize that if they shut him down, they beat the Eagles.

Unlike Adrian Peterson he's been around awhile. I cant figure out why they didnt realize it a little earlier.

Re: Westbrook would like the same amount of touches in 2008

Though the Eagles didn't add a big name receiver, they did add Booker, another receiving halfback. He will get more touches than Buckhalter and Hunt combined.

Having plays with Westbook and Booker in the backfield will free Booker for big plays. If teams shadow Westbrook with a safety or LB then watch out for LJ Smith.

I would have liked a #1 receiver, but it looks like management is happy with what they have.

God bless America and our Eagles.

Let's Go Flyers!!
