ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Asante Samuel Will be targeted by the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets when he becomes a free agent at the end of this month. Samuel has stated that although he'd like to stay in New England, he will be listening to offers and won't be offering any home team discount

Samuels will go where the money is. Can the Eagles afford him? He would like a deal like the one Nate Clemens got with the 49ers.

Clements was vastly overpaid. I really don't know if Samuel will be able to get that kind of money no matter where he does, despite the fact that of the two corners, he'd be the more deserving of that kind of cash. If Philly cuts Peppers, I could see them making a run for him. As for the Pats, I just don't see where they could possibly pay this kid enough to keep him around.

Who is Peppers??? No one on the Eagles by that name. The Birds have 2 good CB now, they could use a gd 3rd CB but Samuels wants, and is, a starter. I can't see the Eagles putting one of the starting CB on the bench... talk about making a bad clubhouse move. They need a SS more than a CB anyway.

No prob.... Kearse is definitely gone. He makes too much and delivers very little. Plus he is hurt all the time. Samuels is good, but I don't think he will fit in the Eagles defensive scheme very well.
