Donovan McNabb trade rumors

Rumors keep popping up about Donovan McNabb being traded. On Access tonight, though, McNabb denied knowing about it.
One rumor has him going to Minnesota.
This has been going on all season. Anyone think there is any truth to it??

Yes, I do. I bet a lot of people regret not having done it last year and keeping Jeff Garcia. So trade McNabb and have Feeley babysit the position until the rookie - Kolb is it? - is ready to go. It makes sense. The franchise needs to start going in a different direction.

Stick a fork in him, he is done...Always thought the man played a bit to heavy...but regardless...he can still play, still win, but he will not take them to the next level. Cut bait...

He might travel the road of Daunte and show up in Miami or Oakland...

They came into the league together, might as well, travel down the same ending...

Re: Donovan McNabb trade rumors

I would like to see him go to Minnesota like the rumors are saying. I want to see what this team can do with a QB that can win.

Guess you dont agree with Goth's opinion that McNabb cant play. I dont either.
But then again, I thought Daunte could still play. The biggest diff I guess is McNabb is pretty much rehabbed and Daunte was still hurt when he moved.

McNabb's definitely not the quarterback he used to be, but give him a running game like Minnesota has, and he'll be okay.

Re: Donovan McNabb trade rumors

McNabb will be back next year. He looked good over the last part of the season. Remember it is only 13 months since he wrecked his knee. He finally was able to start running the ball and showing his mobility. Philly fans are on his case but management knows that without him we stand no chance of competing, let alone winning. He stays next year and then they will start to examine their options. I still stand by my oringial statement... "Kolb will never be the next starter for the Eagles, he is not an NFL QB!"

What the heck was Westbrook this year?...He was what?...200 yards behind Tomlinson if that? Donovan had his days in the sun...its over for him...on a great team he would be good...on a good team...he will be bounced in the playoffs...on an average team, he will miss the playoffs...and on a bad team he will be Daunte.

Not so sure about that Goth. Check out thread "Strong finish leaves Eagles optimistic" Mc Nabb finished strong, he can run again, but he needs some receivers. He's pretty healthy again. If he stays that way. He does seem to have injury problems.
Westbrook was overworked.

He is done...stick a fork in him...Eli Manning had a strong last outing against the might Patriots and people are still picking on him...so what if McNabb finished strong?

Not the same thing. Eli has always been inconsistent, strong today, indecisive next week.
McNabb only played poorly when he was recovering from some serious injuries.
He's healthy, thus he finished strong and still is good to go. The man is not done I tell you. As long as he doesnt get hurt again, he's got a lot left in him.

Re: Donovan McNabb trade rumors

I agree, he is nowhere near being done. The Eagles could use a power back to take some of the load off of Westbrook. I thought they might give Tony Hunt more of a shot. As far as WR, the guys they have are fine but they need to look at getting someone young in the draft, someone with great speed. I think they have more holes on the defense then they do on offense.

I don't know about that. For a team that is close to a championship and just needs a quarterback, he'd be perfect. Minnesota, Chicago, even Buffalo...
