| Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault Seeming perhaps a little too defensive, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb today said at his weekly press conference that he shouldn't get all the blame for the Eagles' 3-5 record. "It's easy to blame the quarterback when the team loses, but I'm definitely not the whole reason why we lost these games," McNabb said, per the team's official web site. "I can definitely help -- yes I can -- but I [shouldn't get the full] blame for everything that goes on around here." Earlier this week, Eagles coach Andy Reid was questioned about whether McNabb could be benched in favor of rookie Kevin Kolb, and although Reid said he supported McNabb, he added that "nothing is guaranteed." When asked about that today, McNabb said, "I'm prepared to be the guy who can go out there and help us win games." ProFootballTalk.com -- The Best Pro Football Scoop on the Internet |

| Re: Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault McNabb the mouth, spouting off more this year than his old buddy T.O. Sounds to me like he's trying to throw his teammates under the bus here to make himself look better. News flash, McNabb, you just ain't getting the job done, and no amount of excuses will save you ultimately.

| Re: Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault McNABB BACKTRACKS ON WEDNESDAY REMARKS "I was surprised to hear that people were saying that I am not taking blame for us being 3-5," McNabb wrote. "I also said, 'There are a lot of mistakes I've made. [Whether] it's throws I want back, [bad] decisions, whatever it may be, there are mistakes that I've made in every game -- a lot of things that you're not used to doing, a lot of things that you know you can do better. Everybody makes mistakes. But, in this situation, there's no room for error, and that goes for each individual person. There's no room for error.' | Re: Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault I used to like him a lot, but more and more, he sounds like an insecure whiner. All he does is complain. I know T O did not help the situation, but maybe he was right when he mentioned other problems with the team. Start Kolb and send McNabb on his way.

| Re: Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault Isn't mouthing off about teammates what eventually led TO to leave? I agree with the Philly T-shirts they sell in the parking lot, "Dallas sucks and TO swallows" but he was right when he criticized MCNabb's superbowl performance. He opened his big mouth and broke the collective heart of a downtrodden town. I thought McNabb had more class than this. Yeah the D-line can't stop the run or couldn't come close to Romo, but he could've kept his mouth shut. At least when TO spoke up he was playing with a broken leg. McNabb just holds the ball like a hot potato (1st series on Sunday) and blames the rest of the team. But McNabb is the shameful starter. If he leaves, the Eagles better get something for him not like the nothing they got from ridding themselves of TO. |

| Re: Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault I don't know who they are...but I don't live in Philly and I have always been down on McNabb's inconsistency. I'm sure Philly fans, and more importantly Philly Sports Radio, still believe that TO was the entire problem. I agree with McNabb, but shut up during the season. Philly needs some new coaches. Let Reid deal with his home life and bring in a new Defensive coordinator. Everyone knows Jimmy Johnson's going to blitz, so opposing coaches design screens that go for 30+ yards and TDs. |

| Re: Mcnabb: It's Not All My Fault Quote:
Actually, I have never heard anyone from Philly suggest that maybe it wasnt all TO's fault. So you dont think that McNabb's extremely poor play has anything to do with his previous injuries or the fact that he came back too soon???
