Eagles coach Reid won't be punished by NFL?

According to the NFL's personal-conduct policy, the Eagles coach is not subject to any discipline because of the trouble that has led to his two eldest sons being jailed.Garrett Reid, 24, and Britt Reid, 22, were sentenced to jail Thursday by Montgomery County Court Judge Steven O'Neill. Britt received eight to 23 months for pointing a gun at another driver, and Garrett was sentenced to two to 23 months for a car accident that left another driver badly injured. According to the personal-conduct policy, if an NFL player were to have children in legal trouble under identical circumstances, the player also would not be in violation of the league's personal-conduct policy. -- Philadelphia Inquirer

And if an NFL player got caught with illegal drugs on his property? What then? They need to suspend Reid or else it's a double-standard.

I don't know, just seems like there have been player in the past who have been punished for "holding other people drugs" - why not a coach?

True, but had his boys not tested positive and not admit that those were their drugs and guns then it would be a different situation,

All I'm saying is, if this is Pacman Jones and members of his posse instead of Andy Reid and his sons, how differently would the NFL be handling this?

you have to look at andy reids past as well, does he come off as a big heroin addict? has he tested postive for drugs in the past? Hes been a very respectable coach, im sure goodell doesnt fly by the seat of his pants, he takes things in consideration, Reid had no control over what his sons did, they are considered adults, but thats just my thinking on it..
