Philly working on Jevon Walker trade

According to the April 24th edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer, "One of the preliminary orders of business that should be resolved by Saturday is whether the Eagles or any other NFL team can swing a deal to acquire disgruntled wide receiver Javon Walker from the Green Bay Packers." Philly definitely needs WR help, and many draft pundits have predicted that they'll use the #14 pick on Santonio Holmes.

Which WR, Walker or Holmes, would be the better fit in Philly?

Re: Philly working on Jevon Walker trade

I'm not sure. It all depends on how well Santonio Holmes plays in the NFL. He can be "the bomb" or the bust. In other words, it would be smarter to go with the veteran than take any risks with a wide-reciever. But it is always the smartest to try to acquire both (if possible).

Re: Philly working on Jevon Walker trade

If they get Walker then they are set at the receiving core with him Reggie Brown, L.J. Smith, Gregg Lewis and Westbrook coming out of the backfield. If they can open up that 14th overall pick for a defensive position, things are looking much better for the suddenly lowly Eagles.
If this takes place it means Joe Banner and Co. are going to use some of that exponentially growing cap room they have? I'm literally giddy.
