| When his days as a player with the Philadelphia Eagles ended in 1992, coaching was not part of Anthony Toney's immediate plans. Toney had had his fill of football. Outside of working a couple of youth football camps, he had no desire to spend each fall with a headset on, pacing the sidelines. "I had no ambition to coach — at any level,'' said Toney, who is working the Herman Edwards Football Camp this week at CSU-Monterey Bay. "This (camp) seemed like enough." Until now. More than 15 years after his last carry with the Eagles, Toney will return to the sidelines this year as a running backs/linebackers coach at Stevenson School. "It's kind of the same feeling I had as a player before a game,'' Toney said. "You are excited, but nervous until that first hit.'' http://www.montereyherald.com/sports...nclick_check=1 Last edited by Lefty Noob : 07-04-2007 at 08:06 AM. |
