| Re: QB Controversy In Philadelphia I don't think there is one, but there should be. Garcia's showing more passion, he's playing well and the team's rallying around him. He isn't as physically gifted but I think he's proven he's better in the leadership department than McNabb. I say give him a shot, but let's see how he does in the playoffs first. If Garcia takes this team to a Super Bowl title, THEN does he supplant Donovan?

| Re: QB Controversy In Philadelphia Yeah, other teams are going to want him after what he's doing now. McNabb will be the starter next year, Garcia will end up as the backup again, or he'd be smart and go to a team and make them a contender. Being a Philly fan, I hope he stays.

| Re: QB Controversy In Philadelphia I don't understand why people think there could even be a story here. Certainly McNabb's history of injuries leads you to believe that the Birds will draft a QB in this years draft to be the heir-apparant. Garcia is 37 yrs old.... no way he is #1 next yr.. unless McNabb's injury turns out to be worse then expected. Original time frame was 9-12 months. So that means even with the best case McNabb is not ready for training camp. He would be ready to play by game 1 or 2. Worst case would mean he could miss the year. So Garcia will resign for Philly because he knows chances are he will get good playing time next year, as opposed to sitting somewhere else. Philly needs to draft their next QB this draft though as McNabb is the kinda QB that gets hurt too often (3 times in 4 yrs I think) |

| Re: QB Controversy In Philadelphia IMO, once McNabb returns he'll get his spot back. I'm amazed at the job Garcia is doing, but I think Garcia knows he's the back-up. And I belive he'll stay in Philly. He knows going somewhere else won't promise success. |

| Re: QB Controversy In Philadelphia Apologize if this is a rerun of something said earlier. Don't believe the current situation (they don't NEED McNabb in order to win) sets the question as to whether Garcia may become #1. He won't. Ever. Period. It does however set the wheels a turnin' (in the front office) as to whether you move McNabb before his market value decreases any further. Ideally (for the front office) he returns next year looking 100%, and even finishes the year healthy. NOW they've got prime dumping opportunity and it is likely the market value will never again be higher. Maybe off to Denver with "the answer"? |

| Re: QB Controversy In Philadelphia I don't think there is any controversy. McNabb will get his spot back when healthy. If I were Philly though, I would draft a good young QB to back him up. I would be surprised to see Garcia there next season. What do you think the chances of him going to Miami next year. They have 2 stiffs at the position. They are aging and need to win in the next couple years if they are going to at all. |
