McNabb left the game today on a cart after hurting his knee. Word after the game says McNabb tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the year. This marks the third time in the last five years he will miss a good portion of the season due to injury.

Jeff Garcia completed a bit over 50% of his passes and a touchdown against the Titans although the Eagles lost bigtime.

Does this effectively end their playoff hopes? Or will they rally around Garcia?

The biggest blow came in Philadelphia, where the Eagles' McNabb suffered a torn ligament in his right knee after tumbling out of bounds in the second quarter of a 31-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

"That's normally an eight-month-to-a-year injury," Eagles coach Andy Reid said of McNabb's torn ACL, "so he's done for the year."

That puts McNabb's timetable for recovery anywhere between July and the middle of next season.

"He's got some hard work ahead of him," Reid said. "He'll get after it."

It's the third time in five years McNabb's season ended early, and with Philadelphia just 5-5 the Eagles' playoff chances seem bleak.

Not just for the rest of this year, but possibly up to an entire calendar year, unless they try to rush him back like Miami did with Culpepper. As for their 2006 playoff chances, I think they're done. Garcia was a pretty good QB a few years ago in San Fran, but judging from how he played with Cleveland, it's going to be ugly.

Have to agree with Lefty, not only is this the end if McNabbs season, it's the end of the Eagles season. Garcia was good but not that good. The Eagles are a .500 team right now, but from here on in, it's all down hill.

The remainder of their season looks to tuff for them to get much further with out McNabb. Oh well, this will give him a chance to work on his new fashion line.

I didn't get to see the game, but caught the replay on ESPN. How did he hurt his knee. Did he do it when he planted his feet to throw. It did not look like he twisted it when he was knocked out of bounds. This is a terrible blow to Philly fans.

Well...It ruins my hopes of a playoff chance, and potentially a Super Bowl. Although Garcia may just lead them on a playoff run.
