When power forward Elton Brand dislocated his right shoulder, some observers thought the injury might actually help the Sixers because they'd be able to play the same core group that helped the Sixers finish the 2007-08 season with a 22-12 record and make the playoffs.
The idea was that Brand's injury would allow the Sixers to become smaller and quicker, which is the style interim coach Tony DiLeo and team president Ed Stefanski want to play.
But the Sixers, even with Wednesday's come-from-behind win over the woeful Clippers, are only 2-4 since Brand was lost for at least a month with the shoulder injury, with games in Dallas and San Antonio coming up to close out the five-game Western Conference trip.
