Sixers fire Billy King
According to Pa. Sportsticker reports, "Philadelphia 76ers general manager Billy King will be fired and replaced by current New Jersey Nets GM Ed Stefanski, according to a report on the Philadelphia Daily News' web site on Monday... Citing a source, the report said Stefanski will be named to the position Tuesday. He is expected to sign a multi-year contract after getting introduced at an upcoming news conference." About time, eh?

King out, Stefanski in for Sixers - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

I don't understand. I never heard of a GM being taken off another team during the season.
