The reason given by Penn State president Graham Spanier may surprise you: "It probably didn't hurt... that we ranked third in the nation in football." Can football success really lead non-athlete students to choose your school? I find it surprising, if not a little sad, that Joe Engineeringmajor would pick PSU simply because they had a good football team. |
