Well,
isn't that con-veeen-ient?
Trials for Penn State safety Anthony Scirrotto and defensive tackle Chris Baker, accused of participating in an April 1 brawl in a State College apartment, were postponed from next month until December following pretrial conferences today in Centre County court.
The new pretrial conference is set for Nov. 20, three days after the conclusion of the football team's regular season.
This isn't the first delay. The trial was originally set for before the start of the season, but was
delayed in August. Scirrotto was down to only two misdemeanors at this point after
dismissal of five other charges.
Would it be too cynical to assume that there will be one more postponement until sometime after New Year's Day 2008? Just happening to occur after all the bowl games have been played out?
