| Best Penn State Players in the NFL This is kind of a tough debate, considering that there are 20 former Penn State Nittany Lions in the National Football Foundation's College Football Hall of Fame. You've got Dexter Very, Harry Wilson, John Cappelletti, Jack Ham, Glenn Killinger, Ted Kwalick, Rich Lucas, Pete Mauthe, Shorty Miller, Lydell Mitchell, Dennis Onkotz, Mike Reid, Dave Robinson, Steve Suhey and Keith Dorney.
I'd either have to give the edge to Cappelletti, the 1973 Heisman Trophy winner who ran for 2,639 yards during his collegiate career, or Ham, who posted 91 tackles and four interceptions as a senior LB in 1970. But then, you've also got Mitchell, who holds school records for more single-season and career touchdowns. Not totally sure what order I'd put them in, but those are my top three.
Which player or players do you think are the best in Nittany Lions history? |
