Joe Paterno's future

Well, the Penn State football season is over, so its time for annual speculation on Joe Paterno's future. JoePa's getting older, his team struggled somewhat this season, and on top of that, there was the broken leg he suffered vs. Wisconsin. So what do you guys think? Does he coach the Nittany Lions in 2007?

If its up to JoPa he will, he told his team that he isn't planning on going anywhere, and would still be coaching after the current class of freshmen had graduated.
8-4 isn't a terrible record considering who the 4 losses were against, Ohio State, ND, Mich and Wisconsin. JoPa "is" Penn state football, long story short, as long as his health holds up, he'll be back.

Re: Joe Paterno's future

I think he will be back to coach again. They are going to have to get rid of him before he will quit. Maybe they should get his successor ready and let him recruit the newer players. Joepa can coach until his players are gone. That way they faze him out with dignity. He just looked too old this year with the broken leg, and running off the field when he had the stomach flu. I am scared for him. He was too great to look feeble like that.

Re: Joe Paterno's future

I agree with you guys. I'd love to see him back, and I think he will be back. As you say, VTNut, JoePa IS Penn State football.
