The following is from
a transcript from a Pennsylvania sports call-in show.
Some of the comments about Penn State football are very interesting, to say the least.
One caller is telling Penn State fans to get off QB Anthony Morelli's back: "Morelli, Morelli, Morelli, everybody wants to get down on the kid. Anthony Morelli is in his first season at the helm, it is going to take time for him to settle in. It is pretty much a young offense. Given where Penn State is ranked right now, they gave Michigan and Ohio State pretty good games. I don't think Penn State has nothing to be ashamed of. No, we don't have a miracle team this year, but they are not lying down dying."
Another caller would like to see the coaches call a little more dump-off type passes: "When you are speaking of a pass to a tight end or screen pass, you're speaking of a foreign language at Penn State."
And a third was not at all happy with the Nittany Lions performance against Purdue: "What a lousy game for Penn State. Six points by the fourth quarter. They call themselves a football team? There was a fumble that Penn State got lucky on, which really was a fumble but was not given to Purdue. That very well could have been a factor to Purdue winning that game. It was well inside Penn State's 30-yard line."
What do you guys think about some of the issues raised by these Penn State football fans?
