The 4-3 Penn State Nittany Lions host the Illinois Fighting Illini this week. Already in 6th place in the Big Ten, the Lions could well go into this game without QB Anthony Morelli, who left last weekend's game vs. Michigan following a helmet-to-helmet hit. In theory, PSU should be good enough to win. But really, this one could go either way, depending largely upon Morelli's status for this week's game.

Well, Morelli did indeed play against Illinois, but the Penn State offense could only muster 211 total yards (67 rushing, 144 passing) on the day. It was defense and special teams that led the Lions to their 26-12 win over the Fightin' Illini. The D scored on a fumble and added a safety, while Anthony Scirrotto returned a kickoff 29 yards for a TD and Kevin Kelly kicked a field goal. What's wrong with the Penn State offense, anyway?
