After Penn State's warm up against Akron last week, its time for the team to step onto the field with the big dogs: the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. It's Brady Quinn versus Anthony Morelli, Darius Walker versus Tony Hunt, Charlie Weis versus the legendary Joe Paterno. And perhaps most importantly, its one of only two games this week to feature a match-up of ranked teams. Notre Dame looked vulnerable against Georgia Tech last weekend; can the Lions pull off the upset in this one?

Nope..Papa Joe should have hung it up after the Akron game...cause the Irish are going to have something to prove...and the will roll over the Lions...and what the heck is a "Nittany" Lion?

It's starting out as a great game. PSU just missed handled the snap on an easy field goal.

We'll see how big that ends up being if it's a close game.

PSU is doing great moving the ball but they're killing themselves. Missed opportunies & miscues. Should be 10-3 PSU leading right now.

And somewhere, it all fell apart. 41-17, and both Nittany Lions TDs came in the 4th quarter after the game was well in the books. Morelli wasn't sharp at all, Williams dropped a few key passes, and then there was the botched FG try. But in the end, the PSU defense was just overwhelmed by the Notre Dame offense. Wasn't there supposed to be an All-American linebacker out there for Penn State? Who was that guy again?
