Alfredsson re elected

Sens captain Daniel Alfredsson was re elected to the position of vice president of the NHLPA's executive committee. he's done this for four years now.
So i guess someone out there likes him.

I would kick him out...after all he was in power when they had that silly stale mate that almost killed hockey...by the way blueandwhite girl, what did you do all that year that there was no hockey?

Re: Alfredsson re elected

Lay in a fetal position and sucked on the remote.
I honestly thought it sucked. I hated it. I was bored with tv and to sound ridiculous i really missed sundin's face. i was THRILLED when they came back.
There are always alternatives, right? Like talking or going for walks or all the Law and Orders. but for me, hockey is just so much fun to get into, i missed it huge. I also hated the players for striking, and wanted the owners to win because I do think the players make way too much money. I was pleased with the cap. But when the puck dropped the next year, even though our team was very less than exciting, it was good.
Beer sales went down up here, too. No hockey to watch, beer doesn't taste the same.

I have been on Toronto on business for a few weeks at a time, and I got to say, the local TV does suck...But hey, would we be talking about Sundin if he didn't have Sharapova good looks now?

Re: Alfredsson re elected

Ok Gotham - business first - local tv - except for CBC Hockey Night In canada which is the best - is bad. but we get loads of other tv, network, digital. And it still sucked, American or otherwise.
Onto more pressing matters - yes, we'd love Sundin if he didn't look so good. I know there's been alot of belfour bashing here and you think i hate him, but I LOVED him when we got him, and when he worked for us, i was a huge fan. I hated that he slid and stopped being so good in net. But he didn't have to be blond and blue eyed. if you ask me, they should all look like belfour. I'm not looking for a pretty boy. I like the guy that plays exceptionally well and has a huge heart. That's Sundin.

Ah, like wise you can't really say Sharapova is Kournikova...but Tennis does not have the added advantage of being a team sport for which you can have strong ties and loyalities...I am not picking on you...I know you if they cut you, you would bleed blue blood, but I think the whole Sharapova thing is a two edge sword...if she loses she is no better than Anna K., if she wins, we she is a golden girl of tennis that might be overrated...

..and poor Eddie...maybe they will invited him to an Old-Timers game back in Toronto.

Yeah...but I got friends and I am telling...

Hasek is surrounding by the better talent, so I can see that. Still they are both +40 yr goalies with bad backs...and I guess I derailed this from bein an Alfredsson thread, but hey, no one was paying attention anyway...

Re: Alfredsson re elected

we just got carried away...
belfour seemed to suck the whole time. hasek was good until he was injured and then he was out. But maybe belfour was suffering the whole time he was bad.

Out of curiosity, did Eddie complain at all?...Doesn't seem the type...I don't recall him saying muvh about his back until the end.

Re: Alfredsson re elected

I honestly think he kept his mouth shut till close to the end because it sounded like he was making excuses. he would be out for a few games every now and then with the sore back, we knew it was there, but we didn't know it was so debilitating.

See, I like that...class act all the way...Me, I would be maing faces of pain at the camera after every save...slumping to the bench...letting the fans know how hurt I was every minute of the day...good thing I don't have to go through child birth...
