| three way deal sends Havlat to Chicago I am stunned. I know there is something wrong with the Senators, because they rock the season and then go bellyup come playoffs. so, yes, shake it up. fire your coach (did it last year), get a new goalie (Gerber), get rid of someone big (Chara). but dealing Havlat? what, are you nuts?
He and Smolinski went to Chicago, who first traded Mark Bell to the Sharks for Tom Preissing and Josh henessy. These two were flipped back to the Sens with a prospect, Michael Barinka, and a 2008 second round draft pick. So they got lots for him.
Paper says Preissing is the key. Offensive defenceman and he's just earning $600,000.
Getting rid of Havlat...I hate the Sens and I love him. That is how good he is. |
