| Sens will play in Sweden pre season Ottawa Senators will host the New York Rangers to open the NHL pre-season on Saturday, Sept. 20.They'll also play a pre-season game in Sweden on Oct. 2 when they face Frolunda in Gothenburg, the hometown of their captain Daniel Alfredsson.
The Senators will remain in Sweden to open the regular season with a pair of games Oct. 4 and 5 against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Stockholm.
