Re: Paddock fired, Murray takes over interim i'm sure that being a coach of any team is strenuous, that's not to say i am defending anything that has to do with the senators lindy yells A LOT himself and i know that he is a really good guy and a great coach at that there would be a lot to yell at the senators for anyway just kidding (maybe)

Re: Paddock fired, Murray takes over interim absolutely not heck, if i was a coach myself, i would probably be a nervous wreck if my team ever had a bad night i would probably start pacing around or moping like i normally do when the sabres really blow a game i find it amazing that even in the worst games, coaches manage to keep their composure if they didn't then the entire team would be in peril by the way, playing floor hockey in gym, and let me tell ya, i got a few pretty sick moves and goals!! sorry very random just thought i should mention it here...on the ottawa blog...of all places

Re: Paddock fired, Murray takes over interim regarding the yelling - I've never seen a coach not yell - you should have seen maurice when we lost that game to Florida 8-0 - his head was this little red ball on top of his neck and he was pointing and yelling at each and every leaf - and they deserved it. if he hadn't yelled at them, i would have caught the train in and yelled at them myself.

Re: Paddock fired, Murray takes over interim and the first loss, 3-1 to the Flyers. guess you can't expect immediate magic from Murray. from yahoo: —Jason Spezza raised his arms in triumph for his goal and celebrated a bit longer than Flyers goalie Martin Biron thought was necessary. So Biron shoved Spezza in the back, then the chest. Words were exchanged and the Ottawa center was tossed. The Flyers had their nasty streak back. The Senators simply had another loss for their new coach. I'm all for Biron giving Spezza a shove - forget nasty - some players need to be told, enough already. Although, I guess spezza hasn't scored in a while - haha. Emery takes the loss. Last edited by blueandwhite : 02-29-2008 at 04:10 PM.

Re: Paddock fired, Murray takes over interim There are no 'pleases' in the NHL. I will admit, i've always found Murray to be an odd duck. he's very twitchy, really nervous looking, although i don't think he is. He constantly moves his head in quick motions. And he does have a lisp. He's a character for sure. I got so used to pat quinn behind the bench - you had to check to make sure he's breathing most of the time - that became my norm for coaches. I like maurice, except for the fact the team has played horribly - he is a very passionate guy-lots of 4 letter words. Lindy Ruff can be very animated - i enjoy him. Plus he's a great coach.

Re: Paddock fired, Murray takes over interim Sure you can. Forwards and defensemen do it all the time, checking a guy after he raises his arms. It wouldn't even be mentioned if it wasn't a goalie! Not a big deal. I want my players to care, not just skate back and say, "oh well chaps, lets just let them celebrate, they earned it"
