| Spezza gets 6 points in 6-1 Senator win over Montreal OTTAWA (AP) -- Jason Spezza was delighted to have Daniel Alfredsson and Dany Heatley flanking him again on the NHL's most productive scoring line. Spezza scored three goals and a career-high six points, and Ottawa's top trio combined for 15 points in a 6-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night. Alfredsson, who returned after missing four games because of a nagging hip injury, had two goals and three assists, and Heatley had a goal and three assists as the Senators' big three came together for the first time in 13 games. "Well, clearly it's a lot of fun," Spezza said. "We enjoy playing with each other and those guys seem like they're rested up. Sometimes the injuries can be a blessing in disguise. Both guys were really good, really hungry, and we moved the puck real well." Big night for Spezza....6 points is a career night for the for fomer 2nd pick overall in 2001...now at 71 points in 50 games and living up to those sky high expectations....the fact he is having fun out there is also a good thing. big line with Heatley and Alfredsson...but they don't score much after that.

| Re: Spezza gets 6 points in 6-1 Senator win over Montreal wow good for them they have 1 line that can score all the points wonderful great distribution of talent yea NOT u think that helped them in the 5-1 loss? nope. 1 goal, and no points from the "unstoppable line" as every1 calls it. u see, it IS possible to hold even that line to nothing, especially if its the sabres that are playing against them at least the sabres have FOUR lines that are physical, offensive, and do a great job at stopping players in our zone. just watch out guys, thats all im sayin and all ill keep sayin until the last day of the regular season (AND INTO THE PLAYOFFS!!! |
