I'd say Emery's more asset than not. Stepping into Hasek's shoes (skates), he kept them up morale wise and he didn't lose big (see: tellqvist in Montreal).
That said, i don't know how great he is. The Senators are great. They have confidence in him and he's got great coverage, specifically by a tree named Chara. I'd say Emery is competent.
