TORONTO (CP) - Just over 1.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the Ottawa Senators advance to the Stanley Cup final.

The Senators advanced Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Buffalo Sabres in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final. The audience on CBC averaged 1.401 million viewers, according to Nielsen Research numbers released by the network Tuesday. The broadcast peaked with 2.029 million viewers during the overtime period. Overall, the series averaged 1.682 million viewers.
