Looks like Dominik Hasek's groin injury at the Olympics is going to cost him at least one NHL start. Hasek told reporters yesterday that there is "very little chance" he'll be able to make his next start for Ottawa, and that he will basically be day to day with the groin. Considering that his five shutouts and 2.09 GAA is a major reason why the Senators are in first-place in the Northeast Division, this could be a big blow for them.

The part of me that hates seeing the NHL break for the Olympics for this very reason is oh so smug right now.

The part of me that is a Flyers fan is not all that disapppointed with Hasek's injury.

And the part of me that believes in karma knows that Forsberg is playing today and is biting her tongue.

did you see any of the Swede-Swiss game? On the second Swede goal, the puck went from Alfressson to Forsberg to Modin and in, while Sundin stood on the other side of Gerber's net.
That's some line.

I didn't get to see any of that game, but yeah - Gerber never stood a chance. I'm still amazed at the year Alfredsson is having. He's always been good, but he's having a monster year. Though, I guess that can be partially explained by his extremely talented teammates.

So, what was the status on Forsberg in that game, injury-wise?
