each player would get two challenges per set. They lose if the call stands.
Then they get an additional challenge during a tie break. Challenges can't be carried over from one set to another.
It's a push by Americans, as this is where it will debut.
We'll see if it is controversial aor not, if it solves the problems of bad calls or if that is just part of the game. Seems if someone's ever received a bad call, it balances out when they get a call for them later on. Still, I like that the refs go upstairs in hockey now, so it could be only good. Plus it will stop the whiners who complain that everybody hates them. |
