Remember the old game show American Gladiators during the 80s and early 90s? It even plays daily on ESPN Classic. Well, NBC is bringing the show back to TV and has signed the most famous pro wrestler in history to host the show. Hulk Hogan has signed on to host, officially as of this week.
It was reported NBC "announced open casting calls seeking amateur athletes for the upcoming series."
"Classic American Gladiators challenges including The Joust, The Wall, Hang Tough, and of course, the Eliminator, will all be upgraded and featured in the reinvented version of the show, along with a mixture of new competitions designed to test physical strength and endurance."
The show is set to air after the New Year.
