| Wrestler Brian Adams Found Dead The Web site WWE.com announced Monday that wrestler Brian Adams — known as "Crush" — was found dead, less than two months after the murder-suicide of professional wrestler Chris Benoit and his family. Tampa police told FOX News that Adams' wife found him unconscious in bed and called 911. He was pronounced dead in the home when medics could not revive him. According to biographical listings at Wikipedia.org and IMDB.com, along with wrestlers "Ax" and "Smash," Adams was part of the face-painting, leather strap-wearing tag-team known as "Demolition." Adams was arrested in 1994 on steroid possession and gun charges. He was later acquitted of the drug charges, the sites reported. Adams was forced to retire from wrestling in 2003 after he injured his spine in a match. | Re: Wrestler Brian Adams Found Dead From everything I've read about it so far there is no story. Give the media some time and they'll have him accused of the Benoit killings, hooked on 'roids or at the very least dependent on pain medication for his back injury. Gawd forbid it be something normal like pneumonia

| Re: Wrestler Brian Adams Found Dead Brian Adams is known to many wrestling fans from his stint in the late 80s and 90s WWE as Crush and also a stint in WCW in the late 90s. The story is his wife found him in his bead this morning and she called 911. He was only 43-years old. The police report says no signs of foul play. There probably won't be any surprises when the autopsy reports come back and say heart failure of some sort. Adams was a steroid abuser although I don't know what he was up to in recent years. He tried boxing but I don't think he did more than a couple of matches. He became a bodyguard for his friend, Randy Savage (during his ill-fated rap career) but that was 2004 or so. Haven't heard anything about him in recent years. Adams is sadly another name in a long line of wrestlers from the 80s who abused steroids (and other drugs). R.I.P. Crush. |

| Re: Wrestler Brian Adams Found Dead heh, Simon, the question many have asked over the past 5 years. How is Hulk Hogan, the face of the era that pushed steroids to the forefront, still walking. He's had his fair share of injuries (knee replacements, hip, I don't think he's had anything that can be considered life threatening) but considering his peers, he's lucky. A cocaine problem, I don't know. I recall journalist Irv Mushnick (nephew of the famous St. Louis wrestling promoter Sam Mushnick) once wrote a story about Hogan's issues with cocaine. Frankly, nobody knows. It's not like every single user has passed, just a good number of them. Every person's body is different. |

| Re: Wrestler Brian Adams Found Dead Congress has already sent a letter (two different groups, two different letters actually) to WWE and probably TNA regarding all documents of their drug testing policies. It's likely this will lead to a hearing in front of Congress next month about "performance enhancing" drug use in pro wrestling. |

| Re: Wrestler Brian Adams Found Dead AP says the autopsy was inconclusive. More tests will be done and results won't be known for several months. Quote:
