Growing up around Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, home of the famed Williams Grove Speedway, there was only one thing that Lucas Wolfe wanted to be, and that was a sprint car driver. He dreamed of one day competing at his home track, as well as racing with the World of Outlaws.
After five seasons competing against the always tough competition in Central Pennsylvania, Wolfe recently announced that he will join the World of Outlaws in 2008, as a contender for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.
Wolfe was a true outlaw in 2007, competing nearly 100 times at various tracks on the East Coast, as well as a couple of visits to the Midwest and the South. The native of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania won 10 times in 2007, including three races at Williams Grove, where the World of Outlaws competed seven times this season. He also won in a 360-sprint car at Eldora Speedway in Ohio and competed in the Knoxville Nationals at the storied Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.
