Magic fight back, still lose in OT

In a defensive battle, the Magic fight back from their blowout loss in Game 1, but still lose to the Lakers in Game 2.
Paul Gasol played great defense on Dwight Howard but still put up 24 points and the game changing 3 pointer in overtime.
Coach Van Gundy used some unusual lineups to fight the Lakers' defense.
Kobe Bryant had 29 points but also had 7 turnovers.
The Finals now go to Florida.

Re: Magic fight back, still lose in OT

This was a heartbreaker. Courtney Lee missed a layup in the final seconds of regulation time that could have gotten the Magic the game and home court advantage.
Magic played better, not spectacular, but better. Howard hit more of his free throws.
Lewis was much more effective at the three pointers, and the defense kept Bryant down.
Lakers have a 2-0 advantage, it hurts, but there are still more games to play.

What no mention of my boy Hedo Turkoglu? He scored a lot, he was also used as the playmaker in much of the last quarter, and he played great D on Kobe...including the block shot that sent the game into OT...and he was the man who passed it to Lee on that alley-oop with .6 seconds on the clock...

How about credit it to where it's really do???

True, he was the playmaker in the 4th, but he was pretty silent during the first three. Rashard Lewis made his presence known much earlier.
The blocked shot on Kobe at the end was great. Couldnt have been any better. Did you see the look on Kobe's face?
But the sad thing is, the Magic need the next games at home. All of them. They cant let the Lakers steal a game on the road.

Silent???...what game were you watching?...In the 3 and 4 my man was hitting his shots...overall he played better than Lewis...he was the reason they came back...Lewis kept them close...Hedo made it a game....

Actually, everytime I have seen him play in person, he has never fail to score at least 20...and I was there for his career high 37 points in one game...good player.

Re: Magic fight back, still lose in OT

I think this proves that the Lakers are going to win this series because the Magic had everything going for them in this game. The shooters were making shots, Hedu and Rashard Lewis were amazing. Kobe was relatively quiet, as quiet as he will get in the Finals and they still lost. I think this proves the Lakers just better

I think it proves the Lakers won the first two games.

Guess all I remembered was the missed shots in the first half. But I agree, he's a good player. If he has a good game, so do the Magic.

If I told you that the Magic's three point shooters were on fire, Kobe had a kind of night, you'd say the Magic would win, right. Well they didn't, the Lakers are better. They'll win in 5.

By the way the end of regulation proves that MJ is better than Kobe and LeBron. Because there is no way MJ shoots that shot, he would've passed to one of his three open guys Fisher makes the three it's easier on the Lakers. This ends the Kobe-MJ debate like the Eastern Finals ended the LeBron

Their three point shooters were not on fire. More on the warmish side.
But the Magic D was on fire, and Kobe had a so so night.
I repeat, it doesnt prove the LaKers are better, it proves they won 2 games.
And your last paragraph is merely one man's opinion. And who knows exactly what MJ would have done in that time and place. ?

Lewis and Hedu were on fire that last game, they were fire, Rafer Alston is breaking down like the chick in Drag Me to Hell but their two main shooters Lewis and Hedu were on fire.

MJ knows, and a similiar play to the Kobe shot where MJ does pass it

No, they werent on fire. They were on fire in a couple of those Cleveland games and that is not the way they played Sunday night.
They better be on fire tonight.
