Hello guys, i didn't find an Orlando Magic thread when i searched for it, so i thought i would start it off and ask the question of "Who is an Orlando Magic fan?"

I have been a fan of these guys since they were established as a team in 1989. Back was when they had Shaquille O'Neal, Anfernee Hardaway (traded from golden state for Chris Webber), Horace Grant, Dennis Scot, Nick Anderson, Scott Skiles, etc...Those were the days.

So anyone else a die-hard Magic fan?

Thats ging to be a tough fine ChiTown, its hard to rally behind a team that essentially traded Tracy McGrady for Trevor Ariza (Who they acquired from The Knicks for Steve Francis).
I will say this, I held Shaq in much higher esteem when he played for Orlando (even when he was getting owned by Olajuwon in the finals). Then he bolted to LA to make bad movies, and my opinion of him plummeted.
However, there current roster is something they can really build around. Between Nelson, Stevenson and Howard, they are one significant free agency move away from being a contender in the east. Who are they supposed to draft this year?

Welcome to GoTeamsGo CHiTownSox. I actually think Orlando is an up and coming team. Milicek will get playing time and will probably be pretty good. Dwight Howard is a hell of a player. Throw in Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson, a decent draft slot, and all the cap room they created by dumping Steve Francis's salary on the Knicks and I think that adds up to them being a playoff team next year.

I am not exactly a Magic fan, but I have to admit that I like their jerseys.

As ThePundit mentioned before, Dwight Howard is very talented. He can accomplish anything he puts his mind to and he has the potential of becoming a top baller someday. I actually believe that the Magic were smart to get rid of Steve Francis. He was destroying the team's chemistry and he wasn't performing that well. Tracy McGrady has had his best years in Orlando and is now having many injuries with Houston. Essentially, I think this team made the right moves at the right time. In a few years, I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Playoffs, or even the Finals (but lets not think too big).

I live in Orlando...I go to the game...I am a fan...so is Wedge and Grozny...

We are high on the kid Darko...saw him play this year...I think he is the real deal...

Thanks for the replies guys.....I would love to go see Orlando play, even if they are a louzy team.......but i agree with all you of when you say that they have talent, and in a few years, that talent will take them to the playoffs.

We are with you ChiTown...we get all the Magic games on the Sunshine Network and I think the WB...not sure...but they show them all the time...I usually get free lower bowl center court seats a few times a year...freebies so its kinda fun...

Hey, I'll see what I can do...A lot of them I get from my mortage guy cause I am always tossing him referals...Orlando is all about connections...you got to have your Disney guy...your Sea World guy...your Universal guy...and your Magic guy...
