| Re: Orlando signs Bill Donovan It is sad to see him leave, and so long after the season has been over. I hope the coaching pool is not too weak for them to replace him with someone good. As for his new job, i wish him all the best, but i know it will be tough. |

| Re: Orlando signs Bill Donovan I think he will be fine. He will just have to adjust his coaching style to suit the NBA. It's just like when Saban came to the Dolphins, he did not adjust to dealing with adults. I think Donovan just needs to have good NBA assistants to help him talk to the players. |

| Re: Orlando signs Bill Donovan After leading University of Florida to two U.S. college titles, Billy Donovan has agreed to coach the Orlando Magic, an official in the NBA told The Associated Press on Thursday. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been finalized, said Donovan agreed to a five-year, $27.5 million (€20.4 million) contract. Donovan, who turned down an offer in April to coach University of Kentucky, replaces Brian Hill, who was fired after two consecutive losing seasons. Donovan, his agent and Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley didn't return phone messages left by The AP. School president Bernie Machen declined comment. Speculation that Donovan would leave Florida seemed to end after he turned down Kentucky and said, "I love the University of Florida." He was also linked to the Memphis Grizzlies' job, but never had formal talks with them and repeatedly refused to comment about any open coaching positions. He said he intended to sign an extension at Florida, where he was making $1.7 million (€1.3 million) annually.
