Darko Milicic

I think the Magic may have gotten a steal here. Since coming from Detroit, he has played quite well. In just 19.1 mins per game, he is averaging 6.8 pts, 4.8 rebs, 2.2 blocks and shooting 65%. The shot-blocking has really surprised me though. In the last four games, he has 11.

Still only 20, his upside is still high and rather untapped. Throw in Arroyo, who is averaging 10 ppg since the trade, and the fact that Orlando freed up a lot of cap space, the Magic just MAY have pulled off a great trade. It's about time!

Cool Re: Darko Milicic

Wedge...I love Darko...it is a steal...and I can dust off all those basketball rookie cards I bought of him on e-bay now...This is the year of the 7 foot Europeans in the NBA (well it could be)...and I mean the name..you know..."Darko"...Its got that Superhero feel to it...say it with me now...Darko!..Darko!...Darko!....see...the TD Waterhouse can rock with that type of chant....The name alone is worth the trade...the 6 points and 4 boards are just the icing on the cake baby...

Re: Darko Milicic

This is probably the best thing for Darko. He never got a fair shot to contribute in Detroit and was basically ignored by the coaches for his first couple years, so he never really developed as a player or with the team. Players like him need multiple years to develop and need to play.
