What can you Ducks fans tell me about J.D. Nelson, a senior free safety dubbed by Street & Smith as "the next big thing" for the Oregon football program? The magazine says the kid "moves like a missle at 5-11 and 219 pounds and is a big-time finished in the secondary. He's the kind of player who causes receivers to have some uneasy nights prior to the game because he is such a forceful hitter." Just how good is this kid Nelson?

Nelson is a ferrocious hitter with decent speed. This guy plays hard. You may remember his Dad, Darren Nelson who was a great player at UCLA. He's currently projecting as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
