Dennis Dixon, a 6-4, 196 pound junior, has the unenviable task of taking over for Kellen Clemens as quarterback of the Oregon Ducks this season. But Dixon should be up to the task. In 11 games last season, he completed on roughly 2/3 of his 104 pass attempts for 777 yards, 6 touchdowns, 3 interceptions and a passer rating of 142.37. Not shabby. Think he can manage numbers like that as the full-time QB in 2006?

The site http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profile.php?pyid=15253 has Dennis project to go in the NFL as high as a 2nd or 3rd round...He is rated 5th out of 83 QBs rated for the 2008 draft. So people are high on the kid already.

I know this is an old thread, but... this kid Dixon has been unbelievable against Michigan today. Just how good is he?

just as good as I have always said. Hes REALLY good. I wonder if he would do the NFL/MLB carrer.

Dixon was named the Rivals.com National Player of the Week last week, and deservedly so. His 193.2 passer rating is currently the best in the Pac-10!
