Dixon has all his ducks in a row

Dennis Dixon is talking about his future, about a path with much freedom and few restraints. If ever a guy had it all mapped out, he does. Dixon graduated from Oregon last spring and spent the summer playing minor league baseball with the Atlanta Braves, who think he has a real future as an outfielder. He has led Mike Bellotti's Ducks to unthinkable heights -- second in the BCS rankings after No. 1 Ohio State's loss -- in his senior season, and soon the NFL could come calling.
He's the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy and a finalist for the Draddy Award, the annual "academic Heisman" that comes with a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship. And if that doesn't work out, he wants to join -- bless his soul -- the Fourth Estate
