| Dixon's knee injury should not keep him out of next game Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon had his injured left knee examined by team doctors Monday, and Ducks offensive coordinator Chip Kelly said the Heisman Trophy candidate didn't suffer a significant injury early in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 35-23 win over No. 9 Arizona State. "He's fine," Kelly said. "I just saw him out in the hallway and he was doing jumping jacks. He has been working with our trainers and he'll be fine." Dixon, a senior from San Leandro, Calif., was injured early in the fourth quarter against the Sun Devils. Dixon came up hobbling after he was tackled by Omar Bolden on a 14-yard run. Most important, his left knee checked out fine after a precautionary MRI, which revealed a sprain. Dixon also learned that he has been selected as the Pacific-10 Conference offensive co-player of the week -- the third time he has earned the honor this season. Dixon, who threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns in the 35-23 win by the third-ranked Ducks (8-1, 5-1 Pac-10) over Arizona State on Saturday, shares the honor with Washington running back Louis Rankin. Dixon also won the award after games against Michigan and Stanford. Full Story
