EUGENE -- University of Washington quarterback Jake Locker grinned at the suggestion that Oregon's defense might be at a disadvantage Saturday because it has yet to face a running quarterback like Locker this season.
"They practice against one every day," said the sophomore, referring to the Ducks' fast and elusive Dennis Dixon. "So I'm sure they have a pretty good idea of what it's like to play against a guy like that."
For the Ducks' defense, which is allowing just 3.3 yards per carry in Pacific-10 Conference games this season, dealing with Dixon isn't actually preparation enough for Locker. After all, Dixon is a quarterback who is a running threat; Locker is the Huskies' leading rusher.
