| Mike Bellotti's new deal According to the Associated Press, "Oregon football coach Mike Bellotti has agreed to a five-year contract extension... The 56-year-old Bellotti gets a salary of $150,000 a year, with a guaranteed base of $650,000 in compensation that includes such things as car, country club membership and TV contract, a university spokesman said Monday." He could earn up to $1.1 million per year. Bellotti has taken the Ducks to 10 bowl games in 12 seasons. Is he underpaid?

| Re: Mike Bellotti's new deal Yes even though the deal has a lot of potential incentives. Consider this, OC Gary Crowton was making $250,000 before bolting for LSU where he'll make $650,000. Oregon will announce a new OC on Thusday....I hope whomever we hire is not paid more than Bellotti as was Crowton. |
