| Nutt gets help as staff ponders current recruits Stuck with a short-handed recruiting staff this month, Ole Miss football coach Houston Nutt could use a lot more verbal commitments like Olive Branch linebacker Marlon Walls. When Walls heard two weeks ago that Ole Miss football coach Ed Orgeron had been fired, he was disappointed. But after meeting with Nutt on Tuesday, Walls says he'll still be a Rebel come signing day. And on top of that, he wants to make sure all of the other Ole Miss verbal commitments don't get cold feet either. "I've been calling guys and making sure we're all solid," Walls said. "I know a lot of them and we're going to have a good class at Ole Miss. I was disappointed to see Coach Orgeron get fired, but I really liked Coach Nutt when I met him." Nutt, who coached at Arkansas for a decade before resigning on Nov. 26, has been the Ole Miss football coach for less than two weeks. Full Story
