Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt had plenty of good things to say about Ron Dickerson, Jr. and Kim Dameron, the two most recent additions to the Rebels' coaching staff.
But right now, the pair's best quality might simply be a matter of circumstance: With no bowl game to coach, Dickerson and Dameron are able to begin recruiting immediately for Ole Miss, already visiting with one recruit on Monday night.
"That's the name of the game," Nutt said. "We all know that. Especially right now since I had to send my Arkansas crew back. It was imperative that they were hired quickly and get on the road."
Nutt has said at least six of his assistants from Arkansas will join him at Ole Miss after the Razorbacks play Missouri in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 1. Some of those six coaches have already been given Ole Miss cell phones to begin contacting recruits.
But until January, Nutt will team with Dickerson and Dameron to do the face-to-face recruiting.
