Hodge eager to run spread offense

OXFORD — Count Shay Hodge as someone who's excited to see what quarterback Brent Schaeffer can do against Mississippi State during today's Egg Bowl.
Schaeffer and Hodge have hooked up for touchdowns in back-to-back games. Hodge led the Ole Miss receivers with four catches for 90 yards and a touchdown on Saturday against No. 1 LSU in a 41-24 loss.
Hodge said he's happily adjusted to Schaeffer - who's more of a scrambling quarterback - and the revamped offense which flashes a spread look.
