| Rebels waste golden opportunity OXFORD — In the year of the upset in college football, No. 1-ranked LSU came to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and gave the struggling Ole Miss football program every opportunity to follow suit. Instead, the Rebels couldn't handle the golden opportunities when they arrived and lost 41-24 to LSU on Saturday in front of an announced crowd of 61,112 and a national television audience. Managing just three points out of three trips to the red zone and basically wasting a special teams touchdown by Marshay Green, Ole Miss is now one game away from its first winless Southeastern Conference season since 1982.
