TERRY GRANT
Running back, freshman
Terry Grant, Mississippi's 2005 Mr. Football from Lumberton, is spending these days making quite a name for himself in Alabama.
The redshirt freshman has rushed for 531 yards and five touchdowns through the first half of the season, leading the Crimson Tide in both categories.
His best game of the year was against Vanderbilt, when he rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-10 victory.
He's also had plenty of help considering the backfield is arguably Alabama's deepest position with Grant, Glen Coffee, Roy Upchurch and 2004 Mississippi Mr. Football Jimmy Johns (Brookhaven) all receiving time.
Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron said he has plenty of respect for Grant, who should challenge a Rebels defense that has had trouble making tackles all season.
