| Ole Miss looks for confidence against Alabama In the vast majority of the meetings in the Ole Miss-Alabama series, Rebel players have taken the field with little idea of what success against the Crimson Tide feels like. Alabama dominates the series standings 43-9-2, and that includes a forfeit. Only during Manning years have the Rebels managed to beat the Tide twice in a three-year span. Archie did it in 1968 and ‘70, while Eli did it in 2001 and ‘03. But while only the redshirt seniors on this year's Ole Miss squad have been on the sidelines when Ole Miss has beaten Alabama, these Rebels have been more competitive than most against the Tide.
