| Ole Miss Football: Aberration? OXFORD — Three days ago, for one glorious Saturday afternoon, the Ole Miss defense harassed Louisiana Tech no matter which way it turned at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. There was defensive end Greg Hardy, constantly chasing - and sometimes catching - Tech quarterback Zac Champion. There was linebacker Ashlee Palmer, flying all over the field and racking up a career-high 15 tackles. Before the game, the Rebels had made numerous personnel changes, and most turned out golden. When it was all over, the Rebels had a 24-0 victory over Louisiana Tech for the the team's first shutout in nearly four years. After the game, an elated Palmer spoke of even better things to come. "The way we played (Saturday) was amazing," Palmer said. "Forcing turnovers. Getting the offense the ball back. ... If we keep doing that, who knows what will happen." But on Monday morning, Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron stepped to the press conference podium and assumed the role of the party pooper. UM Football: Aberration?
