OXFORD — Ed Orgeron's post-game message wasn't particularly loud, but it was quite clear. Others might have given up on this Ole Miss team; he hasn't.

"There's not a lot of people that believed in us and thought we could go out and play with the Gators today," Orgeron said. "But inside our coaching circle, inside our team, we believed. We believed in each other."

Florida, a 23-point favorite, defeated Ole Miss 30-24 Saturday. Ole Miss took the defending national champion and No. 3-ranked Gators deep into the fourth quarter one week after an admittedly miserable performance against Vanderbilt.
