Re: Ole Miss Rebels VS. Missouri Tigers

I'm interested in seeing this one. Can the Rebels D shut down Chase Daniel and the Mizzou offense?

Ole Miss vs. Missouri

Last week: Ole Miss held a 20-0 lead at halftime, then held on to claim a 23-21 win at Memphis.

Saturday: vs. Missouri (Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford), 5 p.m.

TV: None

Radio: Ole Miss network (WFMN-97.3 FM, Jackson)

ON OFFENSE

Missouri's spread offense - which was No. 8 in the country in 2006 and returns nine starters - got off to a fast start against Illinois. Quarterback Chase Daniel completed 37 of 54 passes for a career-high 359 yards with three touchdowns. Tight ends Martin Rucker and Chase Coffman are weapons, combining to catch 17 passes against the Illini. Receivers Danario Alexander, Tommy Saunders and William Franklin are big-play threats. Tailback Tony Temple, who ran for 1,063 yards in 2006, was held to 33 in the opener.
